Nicholas "Nick" Allan is a Buce player and promoter. He is well known for his production of the second season of National Buce News.

History[edit]

Nick originally started in the Front Team and competed in the 2008 Buce League, before being recruited onto the National Buce News panel, and subsequently co-founding The Hawks with captain Michael Read for the 2009 Buce League.

Nick helped bring The Hawks into the Grand Final of the 2009 Buce League but after their loss and Read's departure, Nick facilitated a merger between The Gritz and The Hawks for the 2009 Winter Buce League, keeping the latter team's name. After taking captaincy of the new Hawks, and taking over production of Season 2 of National Buce News, Nick was an influential figure for Buce, both on and off the field.

After failing to make it into the semi-finals in the Winter League, Nick announced his temporary hiatus from The Hawks, instead playing for a Malaysian team in the 2010 Malaysian Buce League. But when the team discovered Nick with medicinal marijuana that he used for his earlier ankle injury sustained during the 2009 Summer League, Nick managed to avoid execution and instead was deported back to Australia, where, after missing the first three rounds, he returned to the Hawks for the remainder of the Summer season.

Nick planned to play for the Hawks again in the 2010 Winter League, as well as restart the weekly National Buce News update for the new league, but with the cancellation of said league these goals were never realised.

With the announcement of the long-anticipated 2011 Buce League came the reformation of The Hawks and a return to the field for Nick, along with preparations for a return to the NBN studio.
