History
Laurie Jones was recruited by The Hawks for the 2009 Winter League to make up a frequently short roster. He began as a rookie Buce player from the familiar proving grounds of Merewether High School. Laurie broke his ankle playing soccer before Round 5 of the 2009 Winter League and as a result missed the remainder of that season. Laurie returned as a reliable Hawks regular in the 2010 Summer League.
