These are the simplified rules of Buce. They were last updated at 00:31, 17 March 2010 (UTC) and are still under construction. Feel free to add discussion or edit the page to update certain rules/aspects of the sport.

For a more detailed list of rules, see Rules of Buce/detailed. Keep in mind that the detailed version is out of date and is also getting updated.

General Overview of Buce

  • The aim of the game is to kick/project the hackeysack into the Bin.
    • If the hackeysack enters the bin, the team who scored is awarded 2 points. If the hackeysack touches any part of the bin but doesn't go in, the team who scored is awarded one point.

  • Around the bin is a marked square. The square is (by league specifications) 2.9 metres.
    • When it comes to the square's rules, the spirit of the law is that no one can be in the square at all times. It is an out of bounds zone.
    • However, the more complex rule is that if a player (either defender or attacker) makes a motion for the hackeysack and one foot lands in the square, they will not be penalised. However, it cannot be their "base foot", ie. the foot they are using to ground themselves
