The Godly Buce Week refers to a week that occurred shortly after the 2008 Buce League. It is remembered due to the first four Double Buces scored during the period. The week is made more significant because only nine Double Buces have ever been scored since Buce's inception in 2007.

The week's events were as follows:

  • Ricky scored his Double Buce on the Monday
  • Guy Bevan scored his on Thursday at recess time
  • Charlie Rogers' was scored on the very same day, at lunch
  • Jacob Dawes scored his on the Friday.

No one really knows how all these occurred in one week, or why only five Double Buces have ever been achieved since. There were no differences in field or players that could have effected these events. This has resulted in the Double Buce becoming something of a myth among professional Buce players, until Andrew Shakespeare proved it was still possible by scoring one in the Grand Final of the 2009 Buce League, and Mitch Furner scoring one in a friendly match during the 2009 off-season. Guy Bevan also scored two in consecutive weeks of the 2009 Winter Buce League.
