National Buce News is the weekly program which shows highlights from official Buce matches, offers proffessional opinions on current issues in the sport and covers the rise of new players. The show is produced by Charlie Rogers and has a panel of prominent Buce players: Guy Bevan, Ashley Everson and Nick Allan. Interviews with other players are regularly conducted, and public polls are released for voting by all Buce players. <br> <br> <br> ==History== National Buce News was originally created to cover the issues of Buce much like The Footy Show and other sport-related talkshows. It also has exclusive rights to all footage of the 2009 Buce League and therefore is the only source of highlights from the league matches. National Buce News distributes its episodes through its own channel on Youtube. During Buce Leagues, the show makes weekly episodes, with league information, highlights, issues, interviews and current ladder results. After the 2009 Buce League, Charlie Rogers retired from NBN and handed over the project to Nick Allan, host of the show. Nick ran the second season of National Buce News for the 2009 Winter Buce League. Several Buce videos cannot be viewed on youtube due to length/size restrictions (such as Grand Final coverage). These videos are made available for viewing at BuceTV's blip.tv channel here. Regular updates on the latest media and info on Buce were made through Buce's Facebook page during NBN Season 2 (2009W), but were less frequent in 2010, after the cancellation of Season 3 of NBN. With no additional content being uploaded to YouTube, the Buce Facebook page became more active again during the 2011 Buce League, as it and Buce Wiki became the sole distributors of Buce discussion, info, and media. Season One's public polls for the program were found at polldaddy.com. ==Disbandment== After 12 months of coverage, NBN was discontinued by Charlie Rogers. He labelled his reason as the tediousness of maintaining a project that can't be expanded on. ==Revival?== Soon after the announcement of NBN's cancellation, Tre Clifford and Hamish Rogers announced plans to host a weekly news program themselves, starting with coverage of Round 5 of the 2010 Buce League. Whether it was to be a continuation of National Buce News or a new concept was never realised, as the project never moved out of "development hell". In May 2010 the possibility of producing a new season of National Buce News to coincide with the Winter League of 2010 was examined. Ex-Presenter and Producer Nick Allan volunteered to develop the new season, and some preliminary work was done, but the series never eventuated. The long-awaited 2011 Buce League brought fresh calls for new material from BuceTV by fans and the production crew of the original series. It is not yet known whether or not new content would take the form of full new episodes of National Buce News, or whether some other type of series, or possibly individually packaged releases, would be the replacement. Whatever form it ends up taking, the possibility of seeing new content in 2011 from BuceTV remains high. ==Themes== National Buce News attempted to incorporate several news and sports based themes into its show. It often mimicked "News Panel" style shows, and during season 2, had a permanent anchor like a local news broadcast. ==Examples== Below are examples of each season's layout. <div align="center"> {| |- |<p align="center"><font size="3">Season 1</font></p> |<p align="center"><font size="3">Season 2</font></p> |- | <youtube>R0Mn_9za3ao</youtube> | <youtube>O5cIqMxLplE</youtube> |- |<p align="center"><font size="3">Season 3</font></p> |- | <youtube>E0Tfr8VbXCY</youtube> |} </div>
