The [[Buce League]] is the first proper competition that is played using the game [[Buce]]. it involves a series of matches between two teams: The Quad Team and the Front Team. The 2008 Buce League ended on the 20th of September, ending with its own [[Buce League Awards|Buce League Awards Ceremony]]

There have been rumours of a friendly Final Game between the two teams at the [[Merewether High School|MHS]] year 12 formal night, which if true, will be a truly spectacular event.

====Match 1====
Score: 11-3, Front Team Victory

This 'First to 10' scenario was a 30 minute Buce game played with '''Read, Wilson, Nick Allan and Phillip''' of the Front Team vs '''Charlie, Guy, Lewis and Curley''' (the latter was a reserve player from the Front Team). Wilson scored the first point of the match in the form of a buce, and he and read continued to win points for the Front Team. Curley was the only one to score a buce for the Quad Team, and after a one-pointer from Charlie, the Front Team won the match with a buce, 11-3.

====Match 2====
Score: 7-6, Quad Team Victory

After a quick buce by the Front Team, the Quad Team were behind the entire game, albeit the few times they managed to even the score with a few one point goals. After 35 minutes, Mandeep, Wilson and Table had scored 5 points for the Front Team and Charlie and Evie had scored 5 for the Front Team. To break this deadlock, Wilson scored a one-pointer to make the score 6-5 to the Front Team. Charlie eventually scored a buce in the last minute of the match to change the score to 7-6 to the Quad Team.

====Match 3====
Score: 10-5, Quad Team Victory

After the close, frantic second match of the series, The Quad Team were determined to make a lead in the series, while the Front Team were similarly ambitious to beat the Quad Team and win back the lead they got at the start of the competition. Unfortunately for the Front team though, the conditions of Match 2 were similar this match, except with the Quad Team simply winning more success with their tighter defense and consistant attack.


====Match 4====
Score: 12-1, Quad Team Victory.

Location: [[Front Field|The Front Field]]

An early morning match between Guy, Alec, Charlie, Lewis and Evie and the Front Team occured one school day, with the Quad Team winning hands down. This was a result of the pentrative offensive effort of the Quad Team, coupled with the Front Team's inability to cope with the new 'short serve' rule.

===Results===

The Quad Team won the League, with 3 victories to 1 loss. This can be attributed to their experience in complex defensive tactics, and the players who pull off that defensive teamwork (namely Ricky, Guy, Alec and Lewis), as well as their unmatched midfield attack of Tim and Evie, who kept consistent possession in the attacking half, allowing Charlie to score points. Needless to say, the impressive attack of Wilson and Read and the spectacular display of defense by Curley meant that the Front Team surpassed all expectations in terms of skill and teamwork.
