Buce was officially created in mid 2007 by a group of [[hackey sack]] enthusiasts who wanted to create a competitive team game to compliment their love of hackey sack. The group which is now called the [[Original 8]] were the players who perfected the rules and established Buce as a proper game with a proper code. They based the nature of the game off games like soccer, volleyball and even Australian Rules Football. 

The game went through a number of names in its first weeks of creation. Some of the names included 'Whackeysack', 'Hackeysack Soccer' and even 'Sackeysock'. Because the sport was called several different names by all of its players, It was decided that '''Buce''' be an agreed name of the sport, ironically because the word buce had absolutely ''no'' connotations towards footbagging, unlike the failed names Sackeysock and Whackeysack.

In the period of 2007 only a small amount of people played Buce, and these players would all later become the [[Quad Team]]. This period would become known as the first [[Quad League]] and the [[Quadrangle]] was the only official field and all matches occurred here. The [[Original 8]] became the dominating players in this time.
